La Ruta was a fun mash-up of Spain and Portland—the type of food event that celebrates the best of our city and does its part to connect Portland businesses, Portland chefs and Portland to the rest of the world. What a wonderful addition to our city’s cultural events. I had a blast and can’t wait for year two...This is exactly the sort of thing that Portland needs more of—great events that connect what we do here to the rest of the world. So well done.

I went to both the premiere and the Tastes of Spain event and they were both beautifully executed. I lived in Spain for a little while, and loved seeing familiar wines and flavors that we aren’t always exposed to in the Pacific Northwest. As an inaugural event your team knocked it out of the park!
